Our Story
Welcome to Metal Works N.W. !
Hello! We are Chantelle and Mike Bellock, the proud founders of Metal Works N.W. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon, our journey started like many others—searching for purpose and direction in life. My husband, a talented metal fabricator, spent years working on remarkable projects for the military, food processing equipment, and farm machinery, creating advanced technologies that improved lives. We were living the American dream, with great jobs, a new home, and a sense of accomplishment.
But life took an unexpected turn when my husband developed debilitating hand cramps that progressed to severe nerve pain. His skin felt as though it was burning, and even the gentlest touch or a breeze would cause unbearable pain. Our world was turned upside down as we faced a harrowing journey to find a diagnosis and treatment. Despite our best efforts and following all the rules, we encountered countless obstacles, with no one willing to help or believe us.
A Decade of Challenges
For nearly a decade, we faced adversity from every direction—medical professionals, the government, and society at large. It was a heartbreaking realization that despite doing everything right, there were no safeguards or guidance to support us through this medical and emotional journey. My husband’s condition led to severe nerve damage and chronic pain, which multiple surgeries and therapies couldn't alleviate.
The Birth of Metal Works N.W.
Amidst these challenges,Metal Works N.W. was born out of necessity and a desire to reclaim purpose and hope. My husband has always been passionate about building things with his hands, from a young age. His creativity and talent in working with metal and wood inspired us to start our own business. With a plasma cutter in hand, we began creating and sharing our art online.
Metal Works became more than just a business; it became a lifeline. It allowed us to work within the limitations of my husband’s condition, enabling him to create whenever his hands permitted. This flexibility gave us the means to support our family and find renewed purpose.
A Family Business with Heart
Family is at the core of everything we do. We are deeply committed to giving back to our community, especially to those facing challenges similar to ours. We understand what it means to need a little help, and we are passionate about supporting fundraising efforts for schools, clubs, and charities. Whether it’s donating a piece of art or collaborating on fundraising programs for sports teams, music programs, or animal shelters, we are here to help.
Making the World Brighter, One Piece of Art at a Time
